From birth through age five, kids learn and grow quite a bit! Teaching them about values during this formative period sets them up for success in the coming years. Sunday school preschool offers a perfect opportunity to teach little ones about values and faith concepts.

However, summer brings a number of activities that can make it challenging for families – especially those with preschoolers – to make it to Sunday school. That’s why we launched the FREE Frolic Summer Book Club: to give ministry leaders resources that help them teach faith over the summer, no matter if your preschoolers show up one Sunday a month or every Sunday!

Here at Sparkhouse, we are getting ready to send out the last month of activities to our Frolic Summer Book Club members. Each month, members receive three activities that they can use with Frolic Board Books and Frolic Storybooks to extend the lesson and create a valuable learning experience for preschoolers.

In August, our activities will be focused on teaching your preschoolers about sharing and friendship. They extend key values and faith teachings in three core books that are part of the Frolic Preschool curriculum:

Thank You, God

The Frolic animals thank God for the gifts of sunshine, playtime, friends, and love. Children will learn to look at the world around them and find blessings to be grateful for.

Happy Birthday Ava

It's Ava's birthday and her friends keep coming up with things they want to do to celebrate her special day. But their suggestions are all things that they would like to do. When Ava gets frustrated, the friends realize they need to think about what Ava likes, too. The story teaches young children about thoughtfulness and friendship.

Ava and the Skimpy Picnic

Preschoolers can watch what happens as Ava and her friends decide to only bring a little bit of what they have for a picnic. After saying a prayer together, they learn that sharing more will save the picnic and turn it into a feast!

Plus, there’s still time to join the Frolic Summer Book Club! Head over to this page to learn the details and how you can sign up.
