What to look forward to in 2019

During the last few days of 2018, we spent it reflecting on some of our favorites, including the top blog posts and Youth Ministry Podcast episodes of the year.

Now that 2019 is here, we’re excited to look forward to all the goodness that’s to come in this year!

While we’ll be highlighting some of our favorites that will be coming your way from Sparkhouse this year, check the blog regularly for updates on new and exciting resources or subscribe to our monthly newsletter.

Check out new products

2018 was a big year for Sparkhouse as we launched several new resources, like an adult small group focused on social justice topics and a small group for teens that gets them asking questions to take ownership of their faith.

We have MORE great stuff coming your way in 2019, too!

Frolic Preschool Year 2 will be available in May, offering three new units focused on the Old Teatment, New Testament, and Frolic Storybooks. Frolic Preschool offers a preschool Sunday school focused on the way they learn best: play!

Spark and Whirl All Kids Year 2 will also be available starting in May, with new quarters launching throughout the year. All Kids offers a one-room classroom option for your Sunday school kids, offering a way for older kids to mentor younger kids.

New units from T.B.D.: Think. Believe. Do. to continue the conversation with your youth! Look forward to three new four-session units, including salvation, Bible, and suffering!

Dialogues On will add two new units in 2019, including one about sexuality and the church, which is available for pre-order now! In July, a new unit about race will be released as well.

Enjoy fun (FREE) ministry resources

We’re excited to continue to offer FREE resources to the ministry community throughout the year.

While we’re still building out the details on many of the programs we’ll be offering (and, we always love to hear from YOU of what you would love to see!), there are a few that we have on the list:

  • The Frolic Summer Book Club will be coming back for a second year. During the summer months, engage your little ones (or encourage families to work with them!) through a summer book club with your favorite Frolic characters!
  • Miss Flat Jesus? It’s back again! We are bringing #FlatJesus back again this summer and it’s going to be bigger and better than last year. We’ll be announcing more details in March, so make sure to follow us on Facebook!
  • Need help building up your Sunday school program? Join our FREE six-month Sunday School Restart to get resources to help you get more kids, find volunteers, and build a Sunday school they’ll remember! More information coming next month.
  • You asked; we listened: Youth Ministry March Madness will be back! Last year, we focused on clichés, and this year, we’re focusing on a few more topics that are near and dear to the hearts of youth leaders.
  • And of course, the Youth Ministry Podcast will continue to bring you the latest and greatest commentary on youth ministry and it’s challenges, successes, and fun. This year, we’re excited to have a new host on board – Jake Bouma – with Erik to talk about all things youth ministry.

In addition, you can continue to read daily blog posts throughout the week, download free eBooks, and join us in webinars! Stay up-to-date with the latest resources by visiting our Resources page and subscribing to blog updates in the upper right corner of this page.
